This year must be a year for the Toyota Motor Corporation. We all know that Toyota is very humble about their achievements these past few months. They even have said that they don’t focus on the thought that they will soon top the list of the best selling manufacturer of cars but instead, they will be focusing their attention on making quality cars with good value.  

And now all their hard work has finally paid off. Toyota is now the proclaimed best seller car maker globally during the first quarter of this year. This was actually the first time that GM stoops down being the best seller car maker since 1930 when General Motors was established. Toyota was able to sell 2.35 million cars over GM’s 2.25 million. And that number is over by 100,000 units of vehicles compared to that of General Motors.

The 2007 SEMA Show is a major venue to where the planned program of the Toyota Motor Corporation will happen. The Japanese auto maker plans to reveal an upgraded version of its quite famous Lexus brand at the mentioned car show for the very first time. According to the car maker, it will be one among the highlights of the said show. Of course, Toyota should make a good move especially if Honda, the fellow Japanese auto maker also famous in the US will host the SEMA auto show.  

The TMC VP of marketing department, Jim Farley, said, "SEMA is very important to Toyota and has become one of the key annual automotive events for us."  

Toyota will also expose their Scion brands on an aftermarket show. This will provide the SEMA members with data regarding the plans of Toyota to put the Scion models into launch. But, of course, Toyota would never reveal a new car model without making any tune ups like additional Toyota parts and other car parts.

Another cute creation from Toyota has surfaced in the auto world. The T180 will be included in the Auris range of flagship vehicles. This little monster has a D-4D 2.2- liter 180 engine which is very much capable of creating a raging 175bhp/177 DIN horsepower. The T180 model is the most powerful in its class as a diesel-powered car.  

The top speed of the mentioned vehicle ranges up to 130mph with a powerful in-gear acceleration that runs 50 to 75mph in just 8.4 seconds. Pretty tough, huh? 62 mph as its acceleration from zero and this is achieved in just 8.1 seconds. Here’s the G-BOOK general picture: G-Book mX establishes its dependability and security of G-BOOK. A Map-on-Demand is wedded on the service which pertains as the world’s first technology for automatically delivering differential map data to car navigation systems, creating a more user-friendly and comprehensive telematics service.

Features of the G-BOOK:

• Map-on-Demand – delivers updated navigation maps through a network covering expressways and toll roads as well as ordinary roads near the driver’s home and in the area where the driver intends to go. With the G-BOOK mX, drivers can download updated map data at a press of a button by connecting their cell phones to the compatible navigation system.
• Probe Communication Traffic Information – this service harbors data (speed and position) from vehicles fitted with G-BOOK mX to offer drivers with varied routes for avoiding traffic jams. It utilizes an on-board DCM which depends on cell phones and efficiently stores information about traffic congestion in real time at the G-BOOK Center. This information service appendage Vehicle Information and Communication System (VICS) information with updates that aids drivers with precise information about the current traffic condition and solutions for the best alternate routes to drive to.

• Stop sign notification service – new vehicle versions introduced will be embedded with a function to warn the driver of an approaching stop sign with the case that the driver seems not to be driving suitably on the road. The warning will actually be issued based on the map information from the navigation system and an accurate calculation of the distance between the car’s current position and the stop line which is determined by road prints detected by an on-board camera.

TMC will also include the new service with two configurations equipped in the vehicle’s auto body parts such as the G-BOOK mX and the G-BOOK mX Pro. The Japanese brand is also enhancing its five user plans for the current G-BOOK ALPHA with two versions: free version of G-BOOK ALPHA and G-BOOK ALPHA Pro which charges a service fee for DCM connection.

You heard that right guys. The infamous Japanese automaker was able to reach its 28th month on gaining success in the industry. There are rumors that say Toyota will soon over power the world’s biggest auto seller General Motors Corporation.   

The Toyota Motor Corporation was recently reported to increase 0.9% on this year’s February sales which counted 680,968 vehicles sold compared to February last year.  

On its overseas over all production, Toyota was able to sell an enormous total of 311,167 units equals to 1.5% increase on its 62nd month. On its production country, Toyota was also able to increase by 0.4% with a total number of 369,801 vehicles sold straight 18 month on February’s record.  

A total of 9.018 million vehicles equals to 10% increase was sold by Toyota bringing it closer to GM’s 9.18 million units sold in 2006 worldwide.  

Its sister company, the Honda Motor Company, was also able to increase by 5.6% on its 301,897 units of vehicle sold and on its 19th straight month of increase on its February sale. Honda also increases its overseas sales by 3.8% with a total of 186,437 units sold.  

However, among the Japanese car makers, Nissan was the one among the car companies to experience failure. The company decreased its sales by 3.1%. The new Nissan Altima was able to increase its sales but because of the failure of some other car models to sell and Nissan received a 15.6% fall.  

Mazda also fell by 5.2% just like Mitsubishi Motors Corporation with a 4.6% decrease.  

Toyota was able to gain success because of the demand for budget-friendly cars. The Toyota Prius is also a best seller when it comes to the car hybrid market. And the Toyota Camry was proclaimed as the best selling midsize van last year. Toyota is also known for the durability and functionality of its Toyota parts. And this prompted many car buyers to take Toyota other than the domestic car brands.
