3月29日 Toyota Highlander gets sportierIn the news: Toyota
creates a Sport trim level for the Highlander SUV and plans to add a
version of the base Highlander with the V-6 engine and four-wheel drive
but no third-row seat. The new models go on sale late this month According to Autoweek,
in creating the Highlander Sport, Toyota added items such as fog lamps;
a tilting, leather-wrapped steering wheel; a power driver's seat; and
17-inch alloy wheels. All Highlander Sports are powered by a 215-hp,
3.3-liter V-6 engine. Toyota is hopeful that the new trim level will make the Highlander more competitive. Meanwhile, you can also get quality Toyota Highlander parts like A/C condenser, fender, hood and radiator at your favorite Toyota Parts Online.
3月22日 Watch out for the adrenalin junkiesAre
men really more likely to get somebody else in trouble on the road
because they love the “adrenalin rush” more than women do? Perhaps. A survey recently conducted by Response Insurance and reported by CNN/Money
revealed that men are much more likely to change lanes without a signal
than women. Sixty-two percent of men swerve without signaling while 53
percent of women admit to the practice. Older drivers are also more
likely to signal before changing lanes than younger drivers. The
survey also revealed that 57 percent of American drivers admitted that
they don't use their turn signal when changing lanes. Three main
reasons for not using the turn signal are one it "adds excitement to
driving", and two, simply not having time to signal before moving over,
and three, being just too lazy to bother. These
are certainly not exactly the most comforting thoughts at all. You
could be driving carefully, and even with brand new turn signal lights
from Toyota Parts Online, but some adrenalin junky could still pull a surprise on you. So better to never lose your focus while on the road. Stay alert.
3月15日 Still waiting in line for that new Toyota Prius?Standing in line isn’t news to those who really want a Prius. The smash hit Toyota
hybrid is still short of supply after nearly two years of sale. But if
news is to be believed, things are going to get better as production at
the main plant building in Japan is set to double this summer, up to
120,000 units a year. Inside Line reports that the giant Japanese automaker Toyota now builds the Prius at two plants in Japan.
Its Tsutsumi plant began production in 2003, then its Toyota Auto Body
subsidiary joined in October 2004 to try to meet spiraling demand.
According to reports, it's the subsidiary that will double production
from the current 60,000 annual units. A Toyota spokesman in Tokyo confirmed to Inside Line that the Toyota sold 175,000 Prius units worldwide in 2005. Globally, Toyota sold about 235,000 hybrids last year, with North America taking about 150,000 of those.
3月8日 Toyota Prius makes owners the happiest
Ninety-five
percent of Prius owners said they would buy one again. According to the
report, performance, fuel economy, and reliability make owners
happiest. And as you and I and other Toyota owners can attest, Toyota cars have all these qualities. David Champion, senior director of Consumer Reports'
Auto Test Department credits the Prius's unusual design for much of its
appeal. Unlike hybrid versions of otherwise non-hybrid vehicles, the
Prius makes a very public statement about the owner. According to
Champion, when you drive a Prius, “everyone can see you're driving a
hybrid,". The
Prius is a gasoline/electric hybrid vehicle that runs partly on
electricity generated by its gasoline engine. Owners can find
replacement auto parts like headlights, floor mats, wheels and radiator at Toyota Parts Online.
3月2日 Toyota is 9th in Fortune mag’s 10 Most Admired CompaniesThey say that when it rains it pours.
And with Toyota, it definitely is raining. Good news, that is.
Fortune magazine has recently ranked Toyota Motor Company
as number nine in its Top 10 most admired companies. This is the first
time a non-American company has made the list. The panel rated 303
companies on a scale of 1 to 10 in various categories, 1 being the best
and 10 being the worst. Toyota's worst score was a 2, while GM and Ford
ranked near 10 in the financial stability corner. The top five
contenders in the automotive category were Toyota, BMW, Honda, Nissan,
and DaimlerChrysler.
The Japanese automaker has also just passed even Wal-Mart
as its stock price hit an all-time record this February and its market
value climbed above $200 billion. A portfolio manager quoted by Reuters
news service said he saw "nothing negative you can point to with
Toyota." The news service noted that Toyota is now worth more than
twice the combined value of DaimlerChrysler, Ford, and General Motors in terms of market capitalization.
And if you want to keep your Toyota car, truck or SUV in perfect shape, trust only reliable online auto parts stores like Toyota Parts Online for your auto parts needs. They have the best selection of Toyota auto parts like radiator, grilles, fenders, spoilers, engine parts and more.
